Iran Photos in Time-Life Archive

Time-Life has partnered up with google to make available their photography archive since the 1750’s on Google image search.  Most of the images were never published and are now available to the public for the first time.  The archive has some amazing images from Iran.  Most images have captions describing the image, the photographer and the date the photo was taken. Here are some of the images you will find.

In response to arian - How can something that comes from God be “poison”? So many people like you make the grave mistake of confusing things by seeing everything in the world in merely black and white. Such an approach can be quite dangerous, as we have seen in history! In the 1930’s Europe it was the Jews and their religion that became the scapegoat of fascists. Today it’s Islam and Muslims. To say that Islam is bad just because the “islamic” republic has committed horrific crimes in its name, is the same as blaming all the people who are wearing white shirts just because a man who wore a white shirt is a murderer. Islam, just like anything that is Divine is beautiful. I would never think highly of a person who doesn’t have the decency to at least respect the faith of others. You don’t need to like or agree with Islam - But why insult its followers and devotees?
