Never Miss Persian Cultural Holidays with Google Calendar

If you have gmail (we highly recommend that you do), then you can also sign up for Google Calendar.  The free online shareable calendar service.

One of the greatest features that Google Calendar provides is its ability to add and share public calendars. You can share calendars with your friends and family. It also allows you to use calendars that other people have created, such as the Persian Cultural Holidays calendar.  Here are step by step directions on how you can add the Persian Cultural Holidays calendar to your google calendar and set reminders to alert you of the upcoming holidays through your email.

1. On the left hand side, look under “Other Calendars”.
2. Click on add
3. Choose “Add a public calendar” from the menu
4. In the search bar, search for “Persian Holidays”
5. Under the search options, find “Persian Cultural Holidays”
6. Click on Add to Calendar
7. Now go back to calendar and click on Settings under Other Calendars
8. Go to the Notifications under Persian Cultural Holidays
9. At the top, click on “Add a reminder”
10. Set you preferences and click save.

That’s it.  Now you will never miss a Persian cultural holiday.

Google calendar doesn’t allow you to search for public calendars anymore. Could you please share the direct link on your weblog so that we can add it manually to our Google calendar?
